My house finally has wi-fi!!! But still cannot use though. There’s something wrong with something somewhere, I also dunno. So right now, I’m using rumah lain punya wi-fi. Hehehe.
For those who want to know more about India, go read Effa’s blog 😉
I’ll do my part of commenting on this country sometime later but right now, I have other things to write.
*IMAM = Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia
3 days after I arrived, I joined JaSSI. The places were limited to only 20 students from our batch but by miracle, I got a place *wink wink* Rezeki 🙂
Malaysian medical students from 5 universities all around India participated:
1) International Medical University of MSU, Bangalore
2) Manipal Malacca Medical College, Manipal
3) Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore
4) Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College
5) Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugharajendra Medical College *tongue is rolling*
In the bus, on the way to Mount View Resort

1. Extreme Medicine – Simulation of a Disaster.
We were trained on how to act on the field in case of natural disasters like tsunami, earthquake etc.
Orang lemas hidup kembali
All the “victims” were smeared with ketchup. Kesian!
2. Surturing and basic surgical techniques
We were taught on how to do circumcision and some of the basic surgical techniques like stitching wounds, injecting anaesthetic and stuff. Before your imagination goes ridiculously wild, we used oranges and rubber ok.
3. Fiqh in Medicine
Discussed about Islamic point of views in medicine. Cans and can’ts. Shoulds and shouldn’ts.
4. Medical Profession As An Ibadah
Somehow, this turned out into a forum on marriage life as doctors. Alamak.
5. Doctors Beyond Borders (MERCY)
Effa cicak 😛
See, surau pun marble!!
Participating in JaSSI opened my eyes to the responsibilities of being a doctor and a Muslim. There’s a lot more than on the surface. Also, it’s hard to accept the fact that I’m now a medical student.
After class (no community medicine, yay!!) , I went to CS (Commercial Street) with Effa to buy some stuff. Again, pictures!!
We were excited when we saw this shop because Diva’s accesories are really nice right but then we realised this Diva sold sarees and stuff. Cheese!
Miri people, does this look familiar?
The Starbucks of India.
Effa in her new glasses – with clear reflection of the drinks. Very high tech 😛
Try stuffing 3 shoe racks into an auto, you’ll end up like us 🙂
Now that my things are complete, I’ve no excuse not to study 😐
